All of my students and other friends studying English (or other languages) think about their accents.
That makes some of them shy about speaking.
Some are not happy about their Chinese accent English, or their Japanese accent English, or their Indonesian accent English, or their Korean accent English, or their Malaysian accent English … and many other accents of English.
My advice is: Be happy about your accent.
Every speaker of English as a second language has an accent that comes from their first language.
That is part of you, like the color of you your eyes or how tall you are.
YOUR accent is fine.
Be proud of it because it is part of who you are.
Be proud of it because it is part of where you are from.
It shows and tells that you are learning a second language.
It shows and tells that you are doing something very difficult and very wonderful!
My advice, "Love your accent!"
