Listening and then speaking Part 2

Listening is really, really important.

Because we are big we want to be able to listen and speak at the same time quickly, without learning to do it as we did when we were very small.

I can't.

Probably … we can't.

Maybe someone can but I have not met anyone who can.

We all do that first in our native languages.

It is a wonderful way to start in English.

(A long time ago I wanted to play guitar. I was a pretty good rock band manager. Secretly I wanted to be a rock star. I bought a guitar. I didn't like to practice. I didn't become a rock star. I became other things over time.)

More on this later.
